Ready for the Turkey

I took the turkey out of the freezer last night and hopefully that gives it enough time to thaw. Id hate for it to blow up in the turkey fryer because it still had a frozen spot!!  It's only a 16lb bird so a it should be fine...my parents are coming in by early afternoon tomorrow along with Marla and Eric. I've been really pissed off at Marla for the past month so all she has to do is apologize sincerely in person and we'll be fine.  Other than that, I'm looking forward to the day, Im not doing anything extravagant this year, I'll have Mase help me make some choc chip cookies but my parents are bringing the pies.  Bill is frying the turkey and for side dishes I just have to make the sweet potatoes with marshmallows, regular mashed potatoes, and string beans. Im doing real string beans cuz i dont want to get "casseroled out."  I have this delish recipe that sautes the fresh beans in olive oil, garlic, and dices tomatoes.  We have some cheese and crackers and shrimp with cocktail sauce, and some pumpernickle bread with spinach dip for apps. Real simple stuff.  I'll have Bill go out tonight for the last minute things like frying oil and wine. Yes I will be having a glass of wine. I deserve that.
As far as this "modified bed rest" thing is going, I think I've settled into a routine already. I sit around all morning until about 1130 or 12 and the kids play with their toys and watch cartoons.  Then we get dressed, and ready for the day and eat lunch. M-Th Mase needs to get to Pk but yesterday Dee calls me and tells me she'll be taking him for me!!! Im thankful for great friends. Then from 1-2:45 I can do the light housework I need to do while Cami naps. Then I pik up Mase, and can relax a little until 4 or 5 when I start dinner. All in all I get the rest I should have and still get the shit done that needs to get done around here.  Yesterday I ran the vacuum but instead of moving all the light furniture around to vacuum underneath, I just vacuumed around it! Who cares, right? The dust under the end table in the living room can hang out for a few weeks. Today I need to get the tub, toilet and sink cleaned in the bathroom and a load of laundry put in.  I have Mason move the clothes from the washer to the dryer and when bill gets home he brings up the dry stuff for me to fold and put away.  As far as cleaning out the bathroom, I wont be doing any heavy scrubbing, just spray on some Scrubbing Bubbles and wipe it down. These "lazy" methods will have to do for the next 8 weeks. I'll be 30 weeks along by then. Part of me cant help to think that this is all a bit over the top. In the back of my mind I keep thinking that this is a huge overreaction to some minor contractions.  I know its for the best but really? Are we all just making a mountain out of a molehill? I dont know.
