Friggin Gypsies part 2

So anyway, a week after we get back from Virginia, Im finally back to normal. It was so hard coming home to a messy house and doing mountains of laundry but my mom came to help out on Wed and stayed till Sat morning thankGOD cuz she was such a help. I was able to get mucho work done and get caught up from being gone for 5 days. Plus I got got the lawn mowed, new sneakers and a few jogs under my belt. So now that Im all caught up I've been doing a load of laundry a day and that's about it. Its so friggin hot and the a/c is still not installed so I do not have the energy to sweat my ASS off running the vac, dusting, and picking up whatever shit is laying around. I get done a few things after the sun goes down so the house doesnt look like squatters stay here. Bill was still ordering parts yesterday and I asked him to give me a deadline with the a/c and he said 2 more weeks. So there it is, in 14 days we will have central air. Fingers X'd.

On a different note, I have started my training for a half marathon. I do not intend on competing in this race. I just want to cross the finish line. If it takes me 4 hours, then so be it. I've been slowly increasing my milage over the past two weeks and have been doing about a 10 min mile each time I go out. My new sneakers have made a huge difference in my comfort however the 8 miles I tried to do the other day really put the hurt on my left knee and hip. Dehydration set in too, my fingers swelled up pretty good, couldnt get my rings off for a couple hours. Live and learn, I need to really hydrate before and during long jogs. Yesterday I tried to do a 3 mile jog but felt my knee tighten up around the 1 mile mark so I didnt make it far at all. Today, I didnt jog and went to the Chiropractor. I was still pretty busy with the kids doing this and that but I made an effort to sit and just sit for as much of the day as possible. I'll try a couple miles tmrw and have a 1030 Chiro appt to help adjust things a bit more. I think I'll have to go once a week till this half marathon is over. This weekend I'll officially register for it...its expensive! But should be a good time...as far as running 13 miles goes. In August. It will def be something I never thought I'd do in this lifetime.
