My son (a bragging mom moment)

My son is so frikin smart. The kid can do advanced math in his head. Like shit I need a calculator to solve. Today I told him he's earned 4.25 toward the 25 he owes me and I asked him how much more he needed to earn to get to 25 and in like 5 seconds he said the right answer! My jaw hit the floor, he hasn't even started second grade yet and he's miles ahead of most kids his age. I LOVE it! The problem is, I wont be able to help him with his homework when he's in middle school taking advanced math classes. But I'll cross that bridge when it comes. A few months ago he calculated how much it would cost to fill each of our cars gas tanks if gas is 4 bucks a gallon. All he needed to know was how many gallons the truck, beemer, and van would hold. Boom, he had the answer for each vehicle within 10 seconds...all done in his head. He memorizes numbers on license plates, is obsessed with time and can easily tell me how much time is left till the next hour. (He's been doing that since the end of PreK!) Now, how smart is he in other areas is still up in the air. I know he's an excellent reader but Im not sure how much he's retaining. I'm excited to see what his second grade teacher does with him.
