Bill got up, got the kids fed and was off to Walmart by 8am to do the grocery shopping. This has always been what I do, but I've had to relinquish my duties and pass the grocery list torch to the hubster. We're getting an ass ton of snow tonight and the kids are going to want to play outside tomorrow so I just sent Bill a txt message to pick out some snow boots for Cami since she doesnt have any. He txted back and complained that the boots are "22 fucking dollars!!!" I replied, "well how much did you think they were? And you wonder where all the money goes..." He complains all the time that we have no money and how poor he is, blah blah blah. We are not poor. We are by no means rich but we live comfortably on a single income (military income) and will be able to raise this family properly on what we have. Anyway, that being said, it is really funny to me that he gets to actually spend the money that is "no fun to spend." The groceries and such. Now he'll understand that I'm not out shopping for whatever...milk, bread, cheese, produce and deli meats aren't cheap. And neither are kids snow boots...even at Walmart!
This weekend, we are finally getting a good snow, the lack of it is what pisses me off about living here in CT. We are techically a 4 season climate but winter around here is 5-6 months of slush and gray shit. Then if we do get snow it melts with in 24 hours and rains then the temps drop to 25 and it all turns to ice. Real cute. IF Im going to live in a 4 season climate I want 3 months of snow, damn it! Otherwise, move me to Florida! The kids are going to have a blast in the snow tomorrow! Normally I'd be outside with the camera taking pics of them frolicing in the first big snow but nooooooooo not this year. Me and my incompetent cervix will be inside doing a whole lotta nothing. Yay. I know it's for the best and each night i go to bed this week and each morning I wake up as been a little celebration that this baby gets to cook another day. I did a little reading this morning and it seems she'll have the odds on her side starting around week 28 so that, for now is the goal...3 more weeks.
