No shit bed rest

Well this is just fucking great. Day 1 down and only 7 weeks to go. I really want to keep this kid cooking until week 32 but just praying to God that we get to week30.  On Tuesday I had my regular progesterone shot and cervical measurement u/s. They saw that I was measuring at 0.8mm!!! it's supposed to be 3cm thick so everyone freaked out and told me I had to go to the hospital for overnite observation. They gave me a round of steroids (betamethazone) to boost baby girls lungs and of course both shots were in my ass, that was pleasant. I got checked right before I was discharged last night and the cervix is closed so thats good. As long as it stays closed we are golden. I'll stay on my weekly shots of progesterone each Tuesday but they told me to get a ride and not to drive.We'll see about that....they also tested me to see if my body was going into labor with in the next 14 days...thankfully that came back negative. It's 99% accurate so I feel confident that we have another 2 weeks as long as I stay immobile.  Bill was able to stay home all day today and left for work at 4 but my friend Amy came at 5 with her kids and they're all playing while Amy is cooking dinner for us. Then tomorrow, she's picking up my kids around noonish and Bill will get them from her house after work. Bill has the wknd off and only has to work until 10 or 11 on M,T,and W. I've got our sitter, Lizzy coming over to be with the kids in the mornings till B gets home. Then Th, he is off work until New Years! My mom is arranging to be here for the whole month of  Jan. Thank GOD!
