O xmas treeeeeeeee

Bill had to go to work yesterday but called me by 10am saying he wanted to pick out a tree when he got home. I was pretty excited seeing as this was the first real tree I've ever had.  He was home by noon and the tree was up and the lights were on by 5. I just cannot believe how amazing it smells in here, its like a pine forest in our living room. I guess we'll be buying a real tree every year from now on...I hated dragging out that fake one and fluffing out all the branches and putting it away anyway. With this one we just have to take off the ornaments and drag the tree out back and burn it. Easy peasy.  Last night after everyone went to bed, I took out the ornaments and decorated the tree. It was much nicer doing that by myself. Maybe when the kids are a little older they can help but I have too many breakable ones that would devastate me if they were destroyed.  Bill can put the angel on top but that's it, I feel a little bad because it could be a nice thing we could do together but I feel like he's putting the ornaments in the wrong spot! LOL! He put up about 5 or 6 before he went to bed and I ended up moving the ones he put up! Hahaha! Now to finish up the Xmas shopping, a really annoying task this year. We had a bunch of car repairs that cut into our gift budget and now it seems like forever and a day for payday to come next Tuesday.  I hate using the credit card but I had to bust it out at Target last night. Hopefully next year nothing major will come up and I can have an easier time.  But we'll deal just fine this year, just have to suck it up.  I just cannot stand scaling back on the people we buy for! I love spoiling our family but this year it's looking much skimpier in the gift closet. On the bright side, its going to cost a helluva lot less to ship these things.
On the pregnancy front, I have been much more calm since thursdays u/s. Knowing that my cervix is 2.4 and the babys heart beat is more than likely going to resolve itself is reassuring.  I can go out and run an errand or two, and vacuum the carpets (once a week instead of 2) and know that it's ok.  They also did some test that tells whether or not I'll go into labor in the next 2 weeks. That came back negative which was also a super relief to hear.  As long as I continue to take it easy and just do the light housework I've been doing I really feel confident this will be a nice long pregnancy with a healthy baby in the end. Bill is doing much better too, last week and the week before have been so stressful for him too. He's still annoyed that he's not getting laid but he's gonna have to deal with that until I'm at least 35 weeks. Hey, I'm not happy about it either! But he doesnt get that, of course.
